2nd Painted Horse Resin completed

EQUUS 1 - #2 of edition of 10
Handpainted, original sculpture by Equine Artist
Willa Frayser

Here is the second finished handpainted resin just completed.  The original head sculpture is the same one I created and had cast in June.  The Bay horse is from this same mold.  There are 8 remaining sculptures to be painted - I am offering at least 5 that can be purchased and I will customize them to resemble your horse (or a friend's horse for a gift!).  Each horse is sanded, primed and handpainted using oils to achieve the highest degree of detail and realism.  The head will then be mounted on your choice of square, solid walnut base (4"tall x 5" wide), or an oval solid cherry base (1 1/2"x8"x5")

Please contact the artist @ rider853@aol.com for more information.

Dogs also, of Course! Update on "Buddy" portrait

This is the finished portrait of "Buddy" - this is an 11x14" oil on canvas.  I added details such as highlights in his fur, softened the details around his eyes, and painted in his collar and tag.  I made one change at the request of my best critic, my husband, and lowered his back, which was too rounded.
This is a very good likeness of this dog, especially his expression when he is intent on getting someone to play tennis with him!  Anyone interested in a portrait such as this, or something in watercolor or pencil, please visit my website at http://www.willafrayserstudio.com/, or email me at rider853@aol.com for more information!

Work in Progress - Oil portrait of "Buddy"

This oil painting of a lovely Rottweiler named "Buddy" was begun on 8.12.10.  This photo shows the block in stage for the background and main colors, as well as completion of his eyes.  The eyes are the most important part of all of my portrait work.  Until I am satisfied that the eyes reflect the soul of the animal, the rest of the painting will not be completed.  After the eyes are finished, the rest of the painting falls into place.
There will be more detail added to his coat, muzzel and collar, which I will show in the next update!
Follow along to see how "Buddy" progresses.  If you are interested in having a lovely portrait done of your dog, cat or horse for Christmas giving, Willa Frayser Studio will be accepting a few more until October 1st.  Please contact the artist at Rider853@aol.com!
